ELIZABETH’S TRIP

TO JAMAICA

7 DAYS/1 STOPS

family time-sun and rest
Family of 4 with  Hugo, 12 and Jules, 8. We just wanted to explore Jamaica, the beautiful beaches, the reggae ambiance and spend some quality time with our kids far from the cold weather up north. We like all kind of trips, road trips, discovery or just to relax on a beach without any screens or electronic games. A way to disconnect from our everyday busy life and to reconnect with our kids. Enjoy some nice time, more peaceful and relax relationship between parents and kids.

ALL INCLUSIVE

MONTEGO BAY to
NEGRIL BEACH
1h30
  • Hotel Rui Negril. Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms, magnificent beach. 5 restaurants in the hotel that was fairly good. A lot of American and Canadian tourists.

ACTIVITY 1
SEA ANDSUN

SEA AND SUN

  • We enjoyed sunset at the Rick’s Cafe, one of the best bar in the carribean offering an unrivaled view of the sunset from its naturally formed cliffs

We went on a catamaran tour to enjoy the sunset

We snorkeled around the crystal clear water of Jamaica

ACTIVITY 4
PARASAILING AND KAYAK

PARASAILING AND KAYAK

  • At the hotel, we could enjoy a lot of watersport activities: parasailing, kayak, canoe and pedal boat. We had a lot of fun. The water was warm and it was really great to just enjoy the sun and the water sports.

ACTIVITY 2
YS FALLS

YS FALLS

ACTIVITY 5
SWMMING IN A LAGOON

SWIMMING IN A LAGOON

  • We went to the Luminous Lagoon, a very touristy attraction in Jamaica. It is fun for the kids but beware that you will not be alone. A very surprising phenomenon. The kids loved to swim surrounded by blue glow.

ACTIVITY 3
CROCODILE

CROCODILE

  • We reached the town of Black River, located where the Black River flows into the Caribbean Sea. The Black river is Jamaica’s longest river and is a fantastic place to see many types of animals, such as Egrets, Cranes, and of course crocodiles. The river got its name because of its dark color which is caused from the tannins that stain the water, not from pollution.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • 2 Kids stay free at RIU NEGRI ALL INCLUSIVE (aged 2-12 years) with 2 full paying adults (minimum stay of 3 nights).
  • When going to Luminous Lagoon, I would organize it on my own next time instead of going through a local travel agent.
